Gelbruecken-Zwerglippfisch

Philippines to northern Indonesia and south to Flores Seas. Occurs in sheltered bays on rubble slopes with a rich mix of coral, algae and sponges in shallow water where they form large groups such as in the Sangihe Islands in depths of less than 10m, but seen to about 20m. Males highly variable in colour with dorsal fin colours from all yellow to red or blue, and body from red to pink or white, depending on mood and stage. Length to 65mm.
