KoraalzeeSubtropical eastern Australia to southern Coral Sea and northern New Zeland region. A common NSW species, where found on sand and rubble along reef margins, often forming aggregations as adults. Juveniles solitary along rocky ledges and in crevices. Acts as a cleaner wrasse to all stages. Readily identified by their black and white colour and the yellow caudal fin when adult. Length to 24cm.
