Pacífico oesteWest Pacific, Indonesia, Philippines to Coral Sea and northeastern Australia. Schools swim above outer reef edges and along drop-offs to at least 30m depth, but occur usually shallow. Large males are purple, but may look blue underwater, with a dark-red blotch in the dorsal fin that may look black in natural light. Females with yellow back that continues to the end of the caudal fin and lower part of that fin mirrored by a similar yellow streak. Length to 11cm.
