Hutomoi Anthias

A rare species, known only from trawled type specimens from 54m depth, and a few specimens have appeared in the aquarium trade. 3rd dorsal spine longest, soft dorsal rounded with 14 rays, and caudal fin is shallowly forked. Females plain pink-orange with yellowish fins. A red band with pink margins behind eye. Length to about 10 cm.
