Hamlet - Indigo

Mainly in the Greater Antilles, but occasionally found off Florida. Reef habitats, usually a little deeper than other hamlets, at depths over 10m, ranging to about 40m. Mainly pale or dark blue with narrow pale bands near and on head and posterior part of body and caudal-fin base. Similar pattern to Hypoplectrus puella, but distinguished from it by the strong, overall blue colour. Length to about 14cm.
