Indischer OzeanKnown from the Andaman Sea to south-western Java. Fairly common in the Similan Islands where adults occur in pairs on coral reefs, ranging to a depth of at least 25m. Juveniles are secretive in Acropora coral thickets, either singly or in a small group. A beautifully coloured species unlikely to be confused with any other rabbitfish. Length to 24cm.
